In 2025, we celebrated the 175th anniversary of De Clercq. What began in 1850 as a sole proprietorship in Leiden has, over nearly two centuries, grown into a dynamic and leading national firm. Throughout all these years, our core values - integrity, professionalism, and social responsibility - have remained the foundation of everything we do.
Today, after 175 years, we take pride in our role within the region, which now extends far beyond its borders. Our firm holds a strong position in the legal landscape, supported by a team of dedicated professionals committed to delivering the best solutions for our clients. While we reflect on our rich history, our focus is firmly on the future—with confidence and an unwavering commitment to the values that have defined us for 175 years.
Our anniversary year was one of connection and purpose. We organized inspiring activities for clients and partners, aiming not only to reflect on the past but, above all, to share experiences and look forward. From interactive workshops and sporting challenges (Leiden Marathon, Harbour Tour Rotterdam) to joining forces for a charitable cause (Salvation Army), the year was filled with meaningful engagement.
