Arjen van Rijn is a highly respected and experienced expert in constitutional and administrative law. His practice focuses primarily on cultural heritage law, human rights, and the constitutional law of the Caribbean countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Arjen practised as a lawyer for more than thirty years. From 2013, he was a partner at De Clercq. Since 1 July 2026, he has been affiliated with De Clercq as an advisor.
Since 2010, Arjen has served as Professor by Special Appointment in Constitutional Law and Constitutional Reform at the University of Curaçao. From 2018 to 2021, he was Dean of the Hague Bar Association.
