Due to Brexit and the growing economy, we have noticed that many more foreign companies envisage moving their headquarters to the Netherlands. The demand for legal services provided by local specialists is higher then ever. In order to be able to meet this demand, De Clercq Advocaten·Notariaat has created a task force specializing in guiding foreign companies in getting ready for the future. Our International Desk will guide you through the initial process of establishing a Dutch subsidiary, hiring expats and/or local employees, and offering swift assistance if necessary every step of the way. We then aim to maintain a long-term relationship with the companies involved, by providing updates and in-house training with regard to local legislation (for example employment law for HR), and of course specific hands-on advice and legal representation if needed.
Our International Desk cooperates closely with tax consultants and accountants with extensive international experience, in order to be able to provide our clients with the full range of information needed. We are active members of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA). Furthermore, we are a member of IR Global, the largest multi-disciplinary professional services network in the world (155+ jurisdictions). Through this membership we have built up a strong relationship with several firms abroad providing legal, accountancy and financial advice. We are therefore also capable of referring companies to quality expertise abroad and working together with these firms if needed.
We do not only provide services regarding employment law, but also work closely with the other teams within our firm:
Our International Desk can therefore always redirect your specific questions to in-house legal experts.
De Clercq Advocaten Notariaat would like to introduce our International Desk task force, which consists of highly trained, multilingual lawyers:
Caroline studied Dutch law at Leiden University and graduated on the subject of International law. She has been a lawyer for over 15 years and has built up her practice by providing excellent and practical services to her clients. Raised by multilingual parents, Caroline is able to advice clients in Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish.
Caroline loves her work and her clients pride her for her efficiency and pro-active attitude.
As a descendant of entrepreneurs, Joost’s ambition is to always advise his clients in accordance with good and strategic business practice. Keeping costs low and revenues high is the starting point of all the long-term relationships Joost has built up with clients over the years. Joost’s goal is be the perfect legal sparring partner for his clients, especially if the clients come from abroad and have yet to understand the complexity of Dutch labour and social security law.
De Clercq Advocaten Notariaat is located in Leiden and in The World Trade Centre in The Hague. Local practices in The Hague and Amsterdam are therefore fully known to us. Our lawyers are experienced in using that knowledge to the advantaged of their clients.
We are always open for new business opportunities and are looking forward to meeting you or your clients. If you would like to meet us and discuss what we can do for you, please feel free to contact us.
